Perfect for 5150 or All Things Zombie as well.
Here's a 3x3 foot city with 100 buildings. I took tiles and stuck wooden blocks on the sticky side then sprayed the whole thing an off gray. I could add more detail like signage, doors, windows etc. but this works for me as it.
My plan is to use the Building Tables found in the various 5150 books. I roll 1d6 and read the result:
(1, 2 or 3) = Building I want is on the block I'm at, the number scored is the number of buildings I need to move to get to it.
(4 or 5) = The Building is on the next block forward (4) or back (5). If can't go back then go to the left or right. Building is that many buildings from the street even if must go around a corner.
(6) = The Building is on the two blocks forward . If can't go there then go to the left or right. Building is that many building from the street even if must go around a corner.
Each new block has a PEF to be resolved. I may paint the streets black.
Great idea Ed...easy to embellish and I guess you could even leave the blocks freestanding for added configurability...Youve got me thinking now!
ReplyDeleteThat would work well. Paint them up ahead of time and all that.
DeleteWell done!
