Some rules will use the Battle Board - those with 4 or 5 man Bands in a skirmish setting. But for larger games with multiple larger units like NUTS and 5150 Star Army, you'll see that's for the tabletop.
Now just about all of the rules that use the Battle Board have Tabletop rules as well. If it doesn't, then download this freebie; a 4 page How to for Battle Board to Tabletop rules.
And Cover? Heck yeah, ALL rules use Cover; just check out the Shooting Tables; pass 1d6 or score a 8 or 9.
Hope this helps.
I did notice there's nothing for charge into melee. I.e. if within 6", charge into melee.
ReplyDeleteRight, that stuff is covered in the Action or Insight Table for the rules being used. This is used to track tabletop movement getting the figures into sight or position, then use the actual rules themselves. Hope that makes sense.
DeleteI think in this instance the kids might say “f**k the haters” ;-)
ReplyDeleteNah, not at all. Gamers are changing and we're just trying to meet their desires. With this doc you can take any Battle Board game and play it on the table if you want to. I'll do a demo.
DeleteOkay. My bad ;-)
DeleteIf you want to incorporate different degrees of cover, the consider this option: 7 or less (always miss); 8 Miss for Heavy Cover; 9 Miss for Heavy or Light Cover.
ReplyDeleteYep good idea.
