Great AAR... really conjured up the visuals from (for example) the new Battlestar Galactica dogfight scenes... I could really see a chaotic mid-space battle!
I have never played with some many fighters. How much time did it take you Ed? It looked as it was fast. Did you use the black boxes or played from memory?Cheers,
Took about 45 minutes using the black boxes. I limited it to one type of fighter each. Would have went quicker as I forgot about missiles until half way through then it went pretty fast. Going from right to left on the table works really well. I just made sure to look at each ship's black box to see what they could do.
Very cool, are the counters from the rulebook?
No, I have artwork for all the ships in Star Navy and FC and am looking at options of how to make them available.
Excellent Fun! Just completed my first quick read-through of the rules. A sheet or two of the various ships would be an excellent idea Ed. One suggestion, if you produce them can you do them hexagonal shape please? (Many space mats have hexagons on them and the rules seem to 'support' this). It would assist those with hex mats but not inconvenience those without. Cheers. Steve
Yep, that's the plan. 1" hexes, 2" hexes?
I would prefer 2", but you aren't gonna please everyone whichever you do Ed.....so why not do both? :-)
What are hex mats made for? I saw 1" and 1 1/2". Who makes 2"?
Sorry I don't quite understand the question Ed... There are many hex mats made in 2" size, usually for navel or space games, take a look at the following for examples...http://www.hotzmats.com/index.htmlhttp://www.terrainmat.com/HexGridsLand1.1.htmlhttp://www.mondayknight.com/Mats/Flocked.htmlIs that what you meant Ed?
Correct, sorry. I looked online and found 1", 1 1/2" and more. I guess as long as it's a hex yo can place inside a larger hex.
